Rescue Diver and EFR Package – how it worksBook My EFR + Rescue Courses
The Rescue Diver and EFR package to my mind at least, is really a single course made up of two distinct parts that go together like a hand in a glove. In the diving environment having one without the other is not a good solution should problems arise. It is a PADI requirement that that you be trained in first aid prior to certification as a Rescue Diver, so why not get your first aid training at the same time? And at these prices why not do it now?
I always recommend to my Open Water students that if they enjoy their diving and continue with this sport that they should aim to for this level of certification. Safety and confidence lead to more fun in the water!
You need to be reasonably fit and healthy to undertake the PADI Rescue Diver course, so please check out the medical form below. Make sure that you can answer ‘No’ to all the questions on the first page. If you need to answer ‘Yes’ to any of the questions, print out the form, and seek the advice of your doctor. If he declares you fit to dive, please get him or her to fill out the form and then bring it with you when you visit.Medical Statement PDF
These courses are a critical both for diver safety and as a step in the development of diving professionals – divemasters and instructors who do take the responsibility for diver safety. At the heart of the Rescue Course is the idea that the best solution to a problem is to spot it early, whatever it is, and stop it developing into a more serious problem in the first place. That is exactly what dive professionals do on a daily basis.
Brand new for 2017 I am launching a Premium Service version of Scuba Guru’s dive offerings! The central idea is that those who select to use the Premium Service will have me exclusively during the course of their stay here in Salang. Whether for fun dives or diving courses I will take on no other customers than the Premium booking. Now that is truly unique to Scuba Guru! To find out more click the button below:
Because I believe that not everyone gives themselves enough time to get the most out of their scuba diving course I have introduced a new deal for 2018. All of my students are welcome to one or even two days of extra training designed to suit them and their needs.
You can read the full blog here: http://tioman-scuba.com/my-best-deal-for-2018/
The training will be up to two shore per day dives in beautiful Salang Bay. The students can have either one or two days of training at the bargain price of RM 150.00 per day.
We will obviously cover equipment assembly, the buddy check, entry, decent, ascent and exit. We can also cover any skills that either the student or I feel that would be of benefit to them. We will also develop the underwater skills of body position, fin kicks, buddy co-ordination and critically buoyancy skills.
I appreciate that not everyone can get extended leave, which is one of the reasons they don’t have enough time, so I am prepared to offer the option of allowing them to return at a later date, but within the same season. Since there is a continuum to learning this is not the best way to take advantage of this offer.
Even if you completely ace your course at this price it is cheaper than my regular shore dives, so I encourage all my students to take full advantage of this offer.
All the required course materials, equipment, and certification fees are included in the price.

N.B. The flexibility in the schedule and duration of these courses is variable because of the option to complete the EFR course in the evenings. This should only be considered if time is limited and you feel that you are a quick learner. It is generally much more comfortable and effective to allow enough time to complete all courses comfortably.Book My EFR + Rescue Courses
