An Adventure Dive is a single dive, supervised by a PADI instructor that focuses on one aspect of diving. It is a segment of both the five dive Advanced Diver Course and the first dive of the relevant Specialty Course.

PADI calls each of the five dives that make up the Advanced Open Water course an Adventure Dive. The first dive of all the PADI specialty courses is also called an Adventure Dive. You do not have to complete the Advanced course or any of the specialty courses in one go.

In other words you can do what you want, when, and wherever you want! These dives can be credited towards your Advanced Open Water certification, and towards their respective Specialty Course. This means that you can continue to develop your skills without doing the same thing twice! It is a convenient and affordable way of achieving your diving goals, improving your diving skills, and increasing your diving knowledge and experience. It is the best way to achieve your next level of diving certification if your time for diving is limited.

You need to be reasonably fit and healthy to undertake a PADI Adventure dive, so please check out the medical form below. Make sure that you can answer ‘No’ to all the questions on the first page. If you need to answer ‘Yes’ to any of the questions, print out the form, and seek the advice of your doctor. If he declares you fit to dive, please get him or her to fill out the form and then bring it with you when you visit.

You must have an Open Water certification, but not necessarily a PADI one, and of course you must be in good health. Most of these dives can be made here in Salang Bay, but they sometimes involve a boat trip, depending on which dive you choose.

During 2016 the sea has washed away some of the sand from the lower parts of the beach. This has uncovered some of the rocks below and has made the beach more difficult to cross in bare feet. So I strongly advise participants to bring a pair of flip flops to wear into the water until we are up to our chests. You can then float, take of your flip flops and put on your fins.
